|This lamp, Daphine, was originally conceived by Tommaso Cimini in 1973 and first manufactured by the Lumina factory in 1975. Daphine became the first lamp created by the company, and its signature minimalist design reflected Lumina's ideal, "Refined lighting ideas." Each lamp takes a team of three to four specialized employees to construct its parts, and another team of four to five to take care of its assembly and packaging. Daphine has appeared in museums of modern art and design, and is now available at American Apparel in select colors - including two exclusive to our partnership, Dusty Rose and Gentian Blue.
This product is not made by American Apparel. It is part of our Multibrand collection, a curated selection of items manufactured by other companies we admire. We choose these pieces for their unique and inspiring design as well as for their superior function.
