My favorite part about the movie "The Jerk" is that there were probably a lot of people in the audience who thought to themselves, "Hey, I wanted to invent a thing to keep my glasses from slipping off my nose once." Indeed, some of them had probably drawn blueprints, even made models. And then Steve Martin wandered in wearing a bathrobe and pissed all over their hopes of becoming Thomas Edison.
